This is one of the first orchids to flower in the year. Leporella often forms colonies of thousands of plants, most of which only produce one or sometimes, two small veined leaves. Due to their darker colouring and small flowers (1-3cm), these orchids can be hard to spot. The favoured habitat is sandy areas.
