There are two subspecies in this group. C. hirta has larger, pink tinged white flowers and taller, more robust plants while C. hirta sub rosea has smaller, more pink flowers and shorter plants. C. hirta flowers are around 3.5cm long while C. hirta sub rosea flowers are 2-3cm long. C. hirta sub. rosea flowers range from very pale to very dark (shown below)
