Caladenia cairnsiana, pachychila & hybrids
Back to Caladenia
A small but beautiful orchid (One of my top ten favourites).
Plants can be up to 30cm tall with several flowers 1.3 cm long per stem, but
are usually single flowered. Hybrids are common with the C. filamentosa group
where the two grow together.
C. pachychila is distinguished from C. cairnsiana by having smaller, paler
flowers on shorter stems and a much more pronounced gland on the tip of the
labellum.
